What OS does it run?

Does it have a Tivo like option to scan the programme guide for things you might like and then autorecord them for you?

It's this feature which keeps me with my Tivo even though I'd like a recorder with integrated digital receiver.

Is there any way of getting recorded content off the hard drive i.e. USB or Firewire connection?

Do you think the EPG will be upgraded from 7 days to 14 days in the future like fusion, thomson and other pvr's

Does it let you record all of a series with a single button press. I know sky+ has this, but I want this functionality on a freeview box.

Have Humax any plans to bring out a twin tuner unit in the near future?

1) The twin tuner 9000T is due out later this year.
2)As I live in a low signal area I am interested in comparison of sensitivity against other PVRs.

Can it record subtitles

Would it be possible to change the HDD, e.g. put a 300 GB drive in there.

Bought this PVR-8000T/80 a while ago and had to return it for a few reasons. One of them being the inability to view a recorded programme while the PVR is presently recording another programme.
The other 'feature' that really annoyed me was that you can't fast-forward "relatively quick" or reverse to a particular point of a recorded programme. It was a pain holding down the 'FWD' or 'RWD' buttons for more than a few minutes.
