Frontier ships combined digital TV and digital radio chip
EETimesUK writes about a new chip from Frontier Silicon that combines Freeview, DAB (digital radio) and "multimedia system support through its integrated ATAPI and AV-interface for integrating DVD playback capability and pay-TV application support through a common interface as well as dual smartcards". Sounds like it could be used for
manufacturing PVRs? As well as being a PVR fan, I am also a convert to digital radio, having purchased an Evoke 2 last year - great design, clear sound, no interference and plenty of channels. Hopefully integrated solutions like the Logie chip will encourage it's take-up.
